Congratulations to CHP’s David Serrado, E.I. for passing his Fundamentals of Engineering Exam! David graduated from FIU as a Civil Engineer focusing on traffic and transportation and has been working for CHP Engineers for over 1.5 years. ⠀

David works in our CHP’s Traffic Safety & Operations Department taking on projects related to studying traffic patterns, queuing, and safety studies. He’s currently working a safety study for SR 7/ US 441 / NW 7 AVENUE from north of Little River Drive to south of NW 117 Street. The project consists of a safety review study for intersections to see if there is a need to restrict any movements or keep it as it is. While working at CHP, David has learned the process of how safety studies work and the type of software and programs used to evaluate crashes such as MicroStation, Signal Four, CRASH, etc.
