Francesco Riccitelli, EI joined CHP in 2021 as a Civil Engineer to work within our Roadway group. Francesco has gained experience in Roadway and Structural design projects of several DOT districts in Florida. He worked on several design of miscellaneous structures, roadways, and signing and pavement markings plans. Francesco’s role with CHP is not only to assist the Roadway and Structure departments, but also to represent CHP as sub-consultant to HNTB for the Miami Dade Expressway Authority’s (MDX) General Engineering Consultant (GEC-A) contract. In this task he will have the opportunity to apply his technical and leadership skills by managing MDX bridge inspections and Load rating contracts.
Francesco while studying for his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering had the opportunity to work as a Graduate Research Assistant and publish a research paper for the Accelerated Bridge Construction – University Transportation Center (ABC-UTC) of Florida International University. His research was aimed to inspect several bridges in Florida with a combination of non-destructive and visual inspection in order to help designers and owners to avoid problematic details or seek means to improve the performance of ABC bridge elements.
He is currently studying to obtain the Professional License in the State of Florida. In his free time he enjoys adventures, sports and he loves spending time with his dog.
